Do we really have to record working hours digitally?
Yes. The September 2022 BAG ruling and the 2024 AZG amendment require employers to systematically record all working hours. Paper time sheets are no longer enough as a permanent system.
Can I import existing time data?
Yes. Time data can be imported via CSV. The format is documented and simple.
How do my employees get access?
You invite employees by email. They register on bnwork.app — no Business Navigator account needed. Own login, own view.
What do employees see?
Only their own time entries, leave status and time history. No data of other employees.
Can I manage multiple sites or departments?
In V1: every employee of a business in one view. Department groups arrive in V2.
Is BN Work really free — no catch?
Yes. No trial period, no freemium trick, no forced upgrade. BN Work is permanently free. The catch: we hope you’ll use other Business Navigator tools too.
How is BN Work different from other time tracking tools?
Three things: it’s free. It focuses on the legal minimum — no overhead. And it links straight to BN Time if you also want to track project hours.
What happens to the data if I delete the account?
Every time entry and employee record is deleted fully. No data residue.
