The Business Navigator goes live

Officially live from today: the Business Navigator is online. A personal note on the launch, what is inside, and what is coming in the next weeks — from our own CRM to GDPR-tight newsletter marketing and our Linktree alternative BN Bio.

Some days stay with you. Today, on 13 April 2026, we are officially launching the Business Navigator. More than eighteen months of work have gone into the system, which you can now find at businessnavigator.app. And while I experience the day with that mixture of pride and craftsman's humility you feel when you hand over a finished piece for the first time — one thing is clear already: we are not done. We are just getting started.

Why yet another tool

I have worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs over the past twenty years. Trades businesses, agencies, law firms, online retailers. Always the same picture: the customer database lives in an Excel file on a laptop, appointments on a sticky note, invoices in a folder with hand-labelled tabs. The newsletter — if sent at all — goes through a US provider that nobody uses in a way that is actually GDPR-compliant. And the Google profile gets updated by the intern "whenever she has a moment".

This is not a criticism of the German Mittelstand. It is simply the reality when your day needs three more hours than it has. The tools that fit the budget are a patchwork. The tools that can do everything cost more than your tax advisor. And the moment you ask where the data actually sits, things get awkward.

That is where the Business Navigator comes in. Our promise is simple: the programs you actually need in daily business, in a single environment, on German servers, at a price that does not hurt. No buzzwords, no platform-speak. Just tools that work.

What is in the system today

We are not starting with an empty shell. From day one, you can work with:

  • Company profile — a properly maintained company record with logo, commercial register data, contacts and every tax number you keep typing into forms. Enter once, use everywhere.
  • BN Assist — a built-in AI assistant that knows our entire knowledge base. Tax-law questions, digitalisation, marketing? Just ask. Answer in seconds, with a source reference.
  • Secure file storage with versioning, encryption and instant access from anywhere. Your contracts, calculations, images — no longer on the USB stick that is at home when you need it at the office.
  • Two-factor authentication, automatic session monitoring, GDPR-compliant audit log. Security that does not feel like security — just there when you need it.
  • This editorial. We will report regularly on system updates, publish expert articles and show what we are building behind the scenes.

What is coming in the next weeks

The exciting news: the roadmap is packed. And I mean packed. The following is already in development and will roll out step by step:

A CRM that does not overwhelm you

Contacts, companies, communication history, appointments, tasks — all in a clearly structured database. We are not talking Salesforce complexity. We are talking about a CRM that a small trades business can use after a ten-minute briefing. But with enough depth that a twenty-person agency can run its full sales funnel. A tool, not a science.

Newsletter marketing that is GDPR-tight

The next big module after the CRM. A double-opt-in system with beautiful templates, interest-based segmentation, A/B testing and an analytics view that tells you what works — not 47 charts that mean nothing. Dispatched via German mail servers, legally clean, without you having to wade through 200 pages of American fine print.

Appointment booking your customers will love

You know the drill: the customer wants to book a meeting. Three emails back and forth before a slot fits. That has to stop. Our booking module gives you a clean public booking page that syncs with your Google and Outlook calendar. Buffer times, service selection, automatic reminders — and at the end a confirmation email that looks like you, not like Calendly.

Professionally collect Google reviews

Reviews are the trust gold of the digital age. Yet most entrepreneurs never ask their customers. We are building a solution that recognises the right moment after each completed job, sends the customer a short, friendly reminder and leads them straight to your Google page. Honest, not manipulative. And measurable.

BN Bio — our Linktree alternative

Everyone knows Linktree. A US startup with questionable privacy practices that wedges itself between your social accounts and your actual website. We are building an alternative: BN Bio, the personal landing page under your own name. Fully customisable, with analytics that you control, on your own domain or as a Business Navigator subdomain. GDPR-tight, hosted in Germany, no third-party tracking.

And more

A QR-code generator with tracking. A mini-shop for digital products. An invoicing module that writes directly into your bookkeeping. A contact-import feature for trade fairs and networking events. All built so you only switch on what you actually need. No feature fight, just a modular toolbox.

Why us, of all people

The honest answer: because I have been an entrepreneur for two decades, I am one, and I will stay one. I know the frustration when a tool decides at 11 p.m. that it is no longer willing to export invoices as PDF. I know the gut-punch when a US provider changes its terms of service overnight and your own customer data is suddenly legally awkward.

We are not doing this because we have to promise the fastest growth. We are doing it because we need it ourselves. And if we need it, others need it too.

What we would like from you

Talk to us. If something is missing, snagging, or just feels wrong while you work with the Business Navigator — write to us. Every piece of feedback lands directly in my inbox. Not in a ticket system in Manila, but with a person in Bad Wünnenberg who knows the tool because he helped build it.

We are looking forward to the collaboration with many customers in the months and years to come. This system is a service to the German Mittelstand. Keeping it moving forward digitally, not dependent on big corporations, and saving time — that is what drives us.
